may 2026 spreads for all

hello, friends. i've been doing a lot of tarot numerology work lately: teaching a brand new card clusters workshop for the wonderful shannon knight (and prepping the same lecture for her summer solstice summit, which you can attend for 15% off using code MEG15 at checkout), as well as starting to plan out devils & digits 2 for this autumn (which will be a hermitage exclusive). the more i pay attention to numbers and patterns, the more i get excited about sharing ways to further explore these ideas with others — and it's such a joy to see how it opens up new possibilities in tarot practices, and in discussions, and in real life.

if you're new to numerology, or just want to learn more about my approach, a quick reminder that i have a free tarot by numbers lecture available on my website. silver and gold tier newsletter subscribers also get monthly insights into the numbers and cards of the month, and of course my flagship tarot numerology course devils & digits is available anytime through my hermitage membership program.

if you're wondering why the hell i'm talking about numerology so much, it's because our tarot spreads for all this month are all about numbers — specifically, about anchoring into different parts of our story using the tarot.

every number has so many meanings and interpretations — and our spreads this month focus on four particular numbers, and four particular meanings, that i hope are practical and useful for your own everyday life.

two of crossroads: a numbers tarot spread for making necessary choices. a safe path / a risky path

two of crossroads: a numbers tarot spread for making necessary choices. there are so many ways to make choices, but if "which do i want more" isn't a helpful question, sometimes "which is the bigger risk — and is it a risk that feels worth it to take" can be more clarifying.

card one / a safe path: a way forward that feels reliable, predictable, or at the very least doesn't require as much obvious risk-taking; a path that makes sense or seems practical
card two / a risky path: a way forward that feels harder to envision; a path that could require more effort or imagination but could be worth the challenges

three of visibility: a numbers tarot spread for letting yourself be seen. something you're ready to share / something you want to be known for / something you hope to receive

three of visibility: a numbers tarot spread for letting yourself be seen. visibility is a doubled-edged sword — being seen by someone who loves and appreciates us is a true gift, but exposing ourselves in certain ways can also open us up to criticism, misunderstanding, or disappointment if we aren't careful.

card one / something you're ready to share: an emotion, idea, perspective, experience, project, effort, desire, truth, or fear that we're ready to let others see
card two / something you want to be known for: a way that we hope to be recognized, witnessed, celebrated, respected, or otherwise seen as a result of this revelation
card three / something you hope to receive: a response or reaction that you long for; a kind of support or result that you hope for

four of protection: a numbers tarot spread for keeping precious things safe. something you love dearly / a way that this beloved thing is vulnerable / a protective measure you can take / something else to keep in mind

four of protection: a numbers tarot spread for keeping precious things safe. limits, restrictions, boundaries, and rules — whether we created them or are simply following them — can help us safeguard what matters. getting clear about what we're protecting, and why, can help us recognize where we have flexibility, and where we don't.

card one / something you love dearly: a precious thing that you adore; something you care about or value; something important to you
card two / a way that this beloved thing is vulnerable: a way that this thing could use protection; a blind spot or tender spot that is worth acknowledging
card three / a protective measure you can take: something you can do to offer safety or security or structure; a way to take care of this precious thing
card four / something else to keep in mind: another truth or fact or reality or piece of advice that the cards want to offer; another nuance of the situation

five of friction: a numbers tarot spread for leaning into a new adventures. a tension point / a reality check / something you're ready to move past / something you're ready to move into / something you'll have to do first

five of friction: a numbers tarot spread for leaning into a new adventures. making an adjustment, shifting the direction of the story, moving through a personal pivot point — friction isn't a bad thing, but it does require some care to navigate. when we start to chafe against our present, it can help us change our future.

card one / a tension point: a place where friction or resistance live; something that is coiled or stretched taut; a place where change is needed
card two / a reality check: a truth you've been ignoring or overlooking; something else that you need to know about this situation; another perspective
card three / something you're ready to move past: an old pattern, belief, emotion, viewpoint, or challenge that you're willing to leave behind or adjust
card four / something you're ready to move into: a new experience, adventure, attitude, feeling, or effort that you're willing to try out or pursue
card five / something you'll have to do first: the bridge between what you want to leave behind and what you want to reach for; the growth edge

sending you clarity, acceptance, care, and courage today and always, friends.
