hello, friends. before we dive into this final piece on our card of the month, a note that i will be having a much-needed, long-anticipated major surgery at the end of february — which means that march's essays and podcast episodes have been scheduled in advance, and i'll be largely unavailable for the next month or so. i'm so grateful for all of your well wishes, and appreciate your patience as i recover!

now, for today's insights: all month long we've been looking at the two of pentacles: with an essay, as distinctive numerological and elemental energies, and through a new tarot spread. today i want to offer some creative prompts, ones that you can use for journaling, meditation, conversation, exploration, or anything else that feels good for you right now.

there are many ways to connect with the tarot, and it's my hope that by offering writings and ideas, questions and prompts, spreads and images, that you'll always find a way into each card that makes sense to your unique mind and heart. play around with these questions, see what they bring up, and let them take you where they will.

what does the two of pentacles mean to you? what does this card have in common with other twos in the tarot, like the high priestess, justice, judgement, and the other minor arcana two cards? how is the two of pentacles distinctive? what unique medicine does it have to offer?

what does it feel like for you to juggle resources, ambitions, long-term plans, responsibilities? when have you been able to keep a lot of balls in the air simultaneously with skill and resolve, and when has it felt overwhelming to try and balance a lot of things at once? how do you typically cope with a daunting number of tasks or expectations? what helps you navigate many responsibilities or initiatives at the same time?

which seeds are you currently planting, or deciding to plant, and how are you narrowing down which goals or dreams are worth pursuing right now? what do you have the capacity for, and how is that impacting your choices?

what are you in service to, and what does that look like? who are you in service to, and what does that look like? who do you allow to offer service or care or resources to you, and what does it look to for you to receive them (or turn them down)? what helps you feel well resourced, and what does that mean to you?

if the two of pentacles was a person, who would they be? how would they behave? what qualities would stand out? are there any characters in media or people you know who embody this card?

what might it feel like to step into the energy of this card? what would this card feel like as an environment, a place that you could visit or live within?

when is this energy helpful, supportive, necessary? when might this card, and all that it represents, be a resource for you? when can you reach for or embrace the intentionality of the two of pentacles, and what might that look like?

and: how could spending more time with the two of pentacles and its many meanings help you slow down, trust others, and move with purpose instead of panic?

sending you so much love, courage, compassion, and joy, friends. i'll be back soon with our next card in the suit of pentacles! and in the meantime, if you're craving journaling or creative prompts on other cards in the deck, don't forget that i have a huge resource called CARD CONNECTIONS that's included in your conservatory membership!
