hello, friends. before we dive in:

-my surgery recovery is going very well, and i'm thrilled to be back to work on some new projects! i'm cooking up a new resource on skill sets and community building — and am also going to be opening up some brand new mini tarot readings to paid subscribers only. check your inbox on thursday for more!

-last year i wrote a gentle journaling series that participants called "thorough," "thought-provoking," and "incredibly supportive." queens of spirit is all about using the court's queens as containers and companions for your heaviest feelings, learning to embrace their power instead of avoiding them. your rage, your agitation, your sorrow, your exhaustion — these are not things to be ashamed of or to hide from. what might they offer you as wisdom, awareness, even strength? you can access this series anytime, at your own pace, because it's now part of the 3am.tarot conservatory membership program! click here to learn more and get started.

all month long we've been looking at the three of pentacles, the number three, the element of earth, and our various points of connection.

as three is a number connected to expression and creation and literally doing the damn thing, this final offering on the three of pentacles feels particularly poignant. the following prompts can be used for journaling, creative exploration, songwriting, conversation, writing a tarot spread of your own, or literally whatever else you'd like.

however you use these prompts, i would also love to encourage you to think about how, and how often, this energy shows up in your life. what roots you, and what could you root into with more consistency? what are you celebrating, and what could you let yourself celebrate more frequently? what helps you feel stable even when the rain is falling, the ground is shaking, the wind is blowing? what are you joyfully making, even if it's messy or unfinished?

what does the three of pentacles represent to you? how do you understand the number three, and the energy that it brings to work, play, rest, connection, solitude, resourcing, creativity, and daily effort? what does the element of earth mean for you, and what might this element add to the conversation within this card? how does this card offer medicine or insights around managing resources, sharing information, building things together, and communicating about what we have access to?

how might this energy look in a person, or within you specifically? how might it feel? what might it provide? how could rooting into this energy help you in moments when you feel disconnected, under resourced, or unstable? if a character was to fully embody this energy, what would that look like? what might they say, do, choose? how might they act? how might they move through the world?

what do you associate with this card? are there any songs, albums, artists, or musical genres that feel connected to the three of pentacles? are there any flavors or scents or ingredients or dishes or beverages that seem like they embody this energy? are there any colors or textures or patterns that make you think about this card?

when is this energy the most useful or potent for you? how does this card inspire or motivate you? do you find it soothing, challenging, or something else? when this card shows up for you in readings, what does it feel like it has to offer in terms of advice, insight, truth, or support? if you pulled this card in a general reading right now, what would it mean to you?

and: how could you work with this card intentionally today, in a way that might help you feel more stable, more rooted, more connected? what would that literally look like?

wishing you safety, courage, and connection. stay safe, and keep fighting. you're doing great.
