tarot for courage & confidence

rocky peak of a mountain bursting through clouds, with sky and a rainbow stretching overhead

hello, friends. i know these days look scary and uncertain (they are), that it may feel like whatever you're doing isn't nearly enough (it probably is), or it might seem that you're alone in your fear (you aren't). it's really important to me to meet the moment whenever possible, and to offer you tarot courses and resources that help you find strength for the world we live in. with that in mind, i am so excited to introduce you to my newest journaling series, cards of courage.

to hear more about what inspired this series, read on. but if you're already raring to go, you can head to my website now and get started right away — this four-week email series starts whenever you sign up.

tarot can teach us so much about who we are, holding up a mirror to our most authentic inner selves — but it can also help us find power in moments when we feel truly powerless.

no matter where you are in the world, there are scary things happening. i can only fully speak to my lived experience here in the united states, but it is really tough to see how much violence, fear, and desperation there is, especially among marginalized populations. fascism continues to rise, hatred is running rampant, and everyone i know is living in a state of overwhelm, trying to balance consistent action with whatever joys we can scrape together.

i firmly believe that tarot is one of many tools that can help us remember who we are, connect with one another, and build a new kind of world. and to that end, i've created a lot of resources around identifying your skills and your role in building a new kind of future — and i've also built workbooks and courses to explore and understand your grief, your rage, your rebelliousness, and your need for hope.

but what if you know what to do, have already identified your skills and your roles and your capacity, and yet still find yourself hesitating? what if what you're really struggling with at the end of the day is not the clarity around what to do, but the courage to actually do it?

introducing cards of courage: a new four-week tarot journaling series for recognizing your courage, finding the value in what you have to offer, and doing the damn thing.

courage can feel like a loaded idea: some kind of quality that some people have in spades, and others may not have at all. if we consider ourselves naturally courageous, or are proud of brave things we've done in the past, we might look at others and wonder why they aren't doing the courageous thing and making a change, taking a risk, walking away from something toxic, or reaching for their dreams.

but courage can look so many ways — and not all of them are flashy, visible, or external. it takes courage to name a desire and let it take up space. it takes courage to ask questions, and even more courage to try and answer them. it takes courage to try something new, and it takes courage to let ourselves fail. it takes courage to walk away from something, and it also takes courage to stick it out and keep trying.

courage comes in so many flavors. and while i think everyone has the capacity to be courageous, comparison is the thief of joy — and if you think courage can only look one way, it might lead you to believe that you can't ever be brave.

cards of courage is designed to help broaden your understanding of what courage looks like, identify your particular kind of courage, and even make commitments to yourself to practice courage more consistently. using the tarot as a companion, you'll choose cards based on your own insights and experiences, selecting cards and archetypes to work with that reflect your own unique kind of courage.

by the end of this series, not only will you have a better appreciation for your own flavor of courage, but you'll also have a deeper understanding of what feeds and supports your courage — and an archetype or two to look to when you need encouragement.

you are even braver than you may know. and our current world demands courage — courage to question rules, courage to band together, courage to show up, courage to fight back. the tarot can help you celebrate the ways you're already brave, and build up that courage to be a resource you can rely on.

let's boost your courage together.
