so imagine you're putting together a heist...

...and you need to assemble a team.
it's a risky endeavor — because obviously we're knocking a casino owned by a billionaire, or stealing diamonds from royal families, not ruining a small business or ripping off struggling artists. your heist requires a lot of strategic planning, an endless amount of information, and a carefully-vetted crew that's jam-packed with talent, experience, and a particular set of skills.
a heist team, just like any group of people working together towards a common goal, functions because everyone knows how to do their thing extremely well. each person has a specific role, a talent to offer, which ensures that the plan goes off flawlessly. if any individual didn't show up, or failed to do their part, the plan simply couldn't work.
because i'm not generally a fan of monarchs (kings and queens? in this economy?), i've been using a more team-work-makes-the-dream-work analogy to reframe those tricky sixteen figures of the court for myself. this framework has shifted how i view these cards, and has made them feel infinitely practical and powerful in my own work. and since this has been such a helpful exercise in my own practice, i've put it all together into a brand new workbook designed to help you celebrate your skills, gather your comrades, and approach community with a fresh perspective.
introducing ocean's 16: a workbook for recognizing your assets.

this 36-page workbook offers a new way of working with the minor arcana archetypes, otherwise known as court cards. through journaling prompts, spreads and exercises, and assigning real-life skills to each figure, ocean's 16 will help you see each of these embodied energies (and yourself) in a new and more empowered way. every figure is an asset, and every figure can also teach you about something you're excellent at accomplishing.
what do you bring to your work, your dreams, your projects? how do you show up for your community in beautiful, unique ways? what specific talents and know-how do you have to offer? and in the fight against fascism and the slow rebuilding of a new world, which specific role are you uniquely equipped to fill?
if you've been feeling helpless, frustrated, or uncertain of what to do, ocean's 16 can help you take a more playful approach to pride in the self, community action, and staying focused on what you can do.
in addition to this new self-paced resource, i'm also opening up my books for some brand new mini tarot readings. each reading is limited to one page of writing, to keep it focused and practical, and can explore one of two topics: how a particular archetype can support you right now (either one you choose or one i draw for you), or reminders from the deck on your personal strengths and abilities.
it's my hope that these shorter readings will offer more accessible, affordable support, as i know many are worried about rising expenses. since i am still recovering from surgery and have limited capacity, these will only be open to paid newsletter subscribers for now, but i hope to open them to everyone down the line.
paid subscribers, scroll down for a direct link to purchase this reading! and if you're not yet a paid subscriber but want to snag one of these mini readings, you can sign up for a paid subscription (any tier) for access.
