hello, friends. this month we've been exploring the first card in the story of water: the ace of cups. this is overflow, source, a tender beginning, a vulnerable start — and in many ways, this is a wildly personal card to be working with.

what the ace of cups means to you, what it brings up, what it nourishes and waters, depends entirely on where you are, what you're dreaming about, and which path you might find yourself on.

i've written two essays and a new tarot spread for this card, so to conclude our work with the ace of cups for january, i want to offer some gentle but potent questions and prompts for you to explore on your own time, in your own way. these are great reflection questions to use for journaling, meditation, conversation, or other kinds of self-discovery and introspection, but you can also use them as jumping off points for character creation, world building, playlists, mood boards, spells, archetype work, movement, or any other kind of creative expression. the sky is the limit, the water is bottomless — see where these ideas take you, which questions resonate, which prompts activate a sense of wonder or curiosity.
